Sunny Deol’s ‘Gabru’ Postponed: Fans Must Wait a Little Longer

Fans of Sunny Deol will have to wait a bit longer to see him back on the big screen in Gabru. Originally scheduled for a May 8 release, the highly anticipated emotional drama has been officially postponed.

Following the massive success of Gadar 2 and the recent ₹300-crore hit Border 2, expectations for Gabru are sky-high. Directed by Shashank Udapurkar and produced by Vishal Rana, the film also features a special treat for fans: an exciting extended cameo by Salman Khan.

This isn't the first shift for the film; it was previously moved from March 13 to May 8 to avoid box-office clashes and respect the month of Ramadan. While the makers have yet to lock in a new date, an official announcement is expected shortly.

In the meantime, the May 8 slot has been taken by Sanjay Dutt’s Aakhri Sawal and Kapil Sharma’s Dadi Ki Shaadi. For Sunny Deol loyalists, the year remains packed with Lahore 1947 arriving in August and Ramayana set for Diwali.
